On 9 May 2025, the business conference “New horizons from land and sea!” was held in Narva-Jõesuu. on the second day of the event “AI in Practice”, conducted by Sandra Reivik, AI trainer and strategist from AiPowerment.
The training brought together more than twenty participants from different backgrounds – entrepreneurs, creatives and technology enthusiasts – to get an overview of how to use AI in practical everyday work.
Participants learned how to create effective commands or prompts, explored the possibilities of language models, discussed ethical dilemmas and the future of AI, and did practical exercises. The use of AI in marketing, customer communication and administrative tasks were specifically addressed .
“I’m so happy that there are already a lot of AI enthusiasts from different fields here, as well as brave users who want to get more hands-on experience,” said Sandra Reivik, trainer.
Feedback from participants confirmed that there is a growing need for similar training – especially for the older generation and local authorities. Eve East, Mayor of Toila Municipality, added:
“I’m also delighted to invite Sandra to Toula to give our staff practical guidance on how to use AI.”
The training was a follow-up to Sandra Reivik’s presentation at the conference on 8 May and aimed to raise the AI awareness of entrepreneurs in the region and provide them with handy tools to use the technology in their everyday work processes.
The Narva-Jõesuu Business Conference 2025 and the training were held within the framework of the project “Development of the waterways network and tourism business in the Ida-Viru region”. The project is supported by the European Union Cohesion and Internal Security policy funds through the measure “Attractive regional business and living environment” and the support measure for the implementation of regional development strategies.
