Narva-Jõesuu gets a new virtual reality tour: contract signed to create VR solution

On 30 January 2026, as a result of a public tender, the Narva-Jõesuu Port Foundation and OÜ BlueRay signed a contract for the development of the Narva-Jõesuu virtual tour.

Based on the contract, OÜ BlueRay will create a modern and meaningful virtual reality tour for Narva-Jõesuu, consisting of several thematic scenes and offering visitors an interactive and engaging experience.

The virtual tour will take visitors on a journey through time, unveiling the story of Narva-Jõesuu through maritime and shipping history. Using the power of virtual reality, visitors can experience the region’s history, underwater views and historical events in a way that is both immersive and educational.

The use of virtual reality creates the opportunity to experience places and stories that are not traditionally accessible – be it underwater wrecks, historic ships or centuries-old trade routes. “The VR solution that will be created will place the history of Narva-Jõesuu in a broader context, and will highlight connections with the stars of the world. We believe that this will be an exciting experience of discovery that will be a delight for both domestic and foreign tourists,” emphasises Egle Rääsk, representative of BlueRay. “The virtual tour will help to highlight the special features of our region and strengthen the sense of home of the local residents,” says Natalia Orava, Development Specialist at Narva-Jõesuu City Government.
The upcoming virtual tour will enrich the tourism offer of Narva-Jõesuu and provide new opportunities for leisure and education. Aimed at individual visitors, families and school groups, the virtual tour will support the development of Narva-Jõesuu as an attractive and innovative tourist destination.

The development of the virtual tour will be carried out within the framework of the project “Development of the waterways network and tourism business in the Ida-Viru region”. The project is financed by the European Union Cohesion Policy Fund under the measure “Attractive regional business and living environment”, the support measure for the implementation of regional development strategies and the partners’ budget.
